Vivek Singh at Edinburgh International Book Festival 2017

We are excited to announce that Vivek Singh will be coming to this year’s edition of the Edinburgh International Book Festival.

The Edinburgh International Book Festival is one of the world’s best-respected international literary festivals, that will be held from 12th-29th August 2017. The festival takes place in Edinburgh’s Charlotte Square Gardens, where more than 800 authors and 250,000 visitors will gather. This year also marks the 70th anniversary of India’s independence from British rule, and the festival is playing tribute to this with a India & Pakistan: 70 Years On segmentwelcoming writers with a deep knowledge of India including the likes of Aravind Adiga, Meena Kandasamy and William Dalrymple.

Monday 21st August – Afternoon Tea with Vivek Singh

Part of the ‘India & Pakistan: 70 Years On’  line up is our very own Vivek Singh. Vivek will be at the festival for a unique event on Monday 21st August, where he will be sharing his insights into the significance of food in India, where diversity of religion and culture makes for a heady social and culinary mix.

This special event will take place from 4.00pm to 5.30pm, where guests will enjoy a classic British afternoon tea and will also have the chance to engage in an intimate conversation with Vivek about his latest cookbook Indian Festival Feasts.
